Disconnected Drive

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

If you get a situation where you try and run Digital Wrench on one of your workstations and you get white icons all over your desktop screen, or the program comes up in demo mode, or both, it is because Digital Wrench isn't able to connect to your mapped drive (usually drive W:).

If you run File Explorer from Windows, go to MyPC then look for your Drive w: or wrench(\\server) (w:). Below notice our backup drive has a red x through it. If I click on it, the red x should go away and it should display the wrench folder on your main computer or server. On some networks this may have to be done every morning. Usually if you wait long enough it will connect anyway.
