Work Order Notes

Here you can enter as many notes as you need for each work order. These are internal notes and are normally not printed in any invoice or estimate.

NotesScreen

When you add a note you get the following screen:

NotesForm

As you can see, the Date and Time are filled in automatically. You can just start typing in your note then click OK to save your note.

Advanced

If you click on the Document tab, you will get the following screen:

NotesForm2

To select a document, click on the icon on the right of the filename entry field. If later on the document is not available on this computer, it will not print. Probably the best way to do this on a network is to create a mapped drive and make it the same drive letter so all workstations and the main computer have access. That way all the path names will be the same.

Also, In company setup, there is an option there to turn on or off attaching and/or printing globally, so nothing will print or attach if they are not turned on.

If you wish this document to print or attach after the invoice is printed, simply click on the appropriate action. You will be prompted when printing for each document so you can skip them when printing an invoice or estimate. In order to print any kind of document, the program simply runs the default windows program that will normally open the document. So if it's a word document or open office document, it will open those programs so you can print from those programs.

This can also be a link to a website or webpage. For instance, if you were using the inspection software from Repair Shop Solutions which we interface with, you can copy and paste the inspection PDF, the inspection PDF webpage, or the actual inspection itself. So you could copy the PDF for the inspection and paste it in here and tell it to print and attach, and paste the actual link to the inspection.. which you would not print or attach, but it would be available for you to link to that inspection directly by clicking on the Print Now button.
